Mission Statement 

The Coachella Valley Hiking Club's goals are to offer guided hikes for valley residents and visitors to local and out of area trails; to educate the public as to the unique hiking opportunities of local desert, canyon, and mountain trails; to encourage knowledge of hiking safety, equipment use, and trail issues; to foster a community of hikers and outdoor enthusiasts that will respect the land and its trails and to encourage the hiking experience as a positive lifestyle.

Specialty Hikes

In addition to regular Saturday and Sunday hikes the hiking club organizes weekend overnight hikes, Full Moon Rambles, Flower Hikes, Geology Tours, Bird Watching, Old Mines Tours and some extended out of the area hikes to destinations such as Zion, Grand Canyon and Mammoth. The club also participates in camping, canoeing and other outdoor activities.

Hike Leaders

HIKE LEADERS -all are very experienced hikers, versed in the geology, flora, and fauna of the desert. Hike leader training is available for experienced hikers who would like to lead some of the clubs' desert hikes.
