29 Palm entrance. Stirrup Tank trailhead, near Pinto Wye. Two miles of wide wash and 3/4 mile of narrow, rocky, high-stepping canyon. A bit of off-trail to an old mining road, rock cabin ruins, a few tunnels and expansive views. Return same way. Not the usual route to this mine.
